Has your ceramic pan lost its non-stickiness? If yes, then it might be a very frustrating situation because you don’t know how to cook food with the pan in which the food keeps sticking.

If you are facing the same situation, then don’t worry; we have very good news for you and that you can make the ceramic pan non-stick again. Here are five ways with which you can make your pan non-stick again.

There is a seasoning process that can help you make your ceramic pan non-stick again. You create a layer of oil in the seasoning that makes your pan non-stick. The process is really simple, and anyone can adapt it to get the non-stickiness of their pan. Here we will elaborate all the steps one by one, so if you don’t know, you will learn.

1: Clean Your Pan

Before we get deeper into the process of restoring the non-stickiness, you need to clean your pan. There would be no food particles in your pan. You can use a dishwasher or soap with warm water to achieve your goals.

People use many other things to wash the pan, like baking soda or vinegar, but it depends on your pan. For me, most dishwashers do the work, so I would recommend you use a dishwasher, but you can use anything to make your pan clean and clear.

2: Start The Seasoning

Now let’s dive deep and start the seasoning process by choosing the best seasoning oil. There are many seasoning oils available in the market, and you can use anyone, but we would recommend Grapeseed oil because it is very useful in the seasoning process because of its properties.

As we said before, there are many others in the market to select anyone.

3: Apply Grapeseed Oil

Now take that grapeseed oil or whichever oil you have selected in the previous step and apply gently on your pan’s surface. It’s up to you whether you want to do it with your bare finger or use some gloves but make sure the grapeseed oil is applied all over the pan.

4: Place Pan On Stove

When the grapeseed oil is completely applied, you have to put it on the stove and turn it on. Ensure the stove is medium because it would allow the oil to soak in the pan.

Give the pan some time until you see the smoke from the pan. There are many people that would want to do this step in the oven, but if you are using grapeseed oil, we would recommend doing it on the stove because you will be able to see the situation of your pan.

5: Give Your Pan Sometime

Now you have to give your pan some time to cool down. Don’t panic, and give your pan two to three hours till it cools down naturally. We would recommend you leave the pan with the oil for at least 24 hours because that would be more beneficial for the non-stickiness coating.

But you can also remove the oil once it cools down, so it depends on your needs. Now you might want to check if the seasoning has worked or not, check if the pan it’s greasy or not? If it’s greasy, then hurray! Seasoning has made your ceramic pan non-stick again.

6: Repeat This Process

Now, as you have gained back the non-stickiness of your pan, don’t forget the seasoning process, but you have to repeat this step again and again after a few months; otherwise, the pan will end in the same condition as today you have, be careful about it.

Why The Ceramic Pan Stick?

The ceramic pans are the most used in our kitchen because of their non-stick properties, but when they start sticking, it is very frustrating, so here we will cover why the ceramic pan sticks.

  • If you clean the pan with steel wools or other things like these, it will affect the pan’s non- stickiness.
  • Cooking food at high temperatures affects the taste of the food and makes your pan stick.
  • If you are using the ceramic pan as the food container and put the food in the pan and then put it in the refrigerator, it might also affect the non-stickiness of the pan.

These are some reasons that would make your ceramic pan stick, and if you avoid these things, then your non-stick pan will not stick for a long time.

It depends on many factors, but generally, the non-stick ceramic pans last five to eight years.
